Conservative Party of Canada
The Conservatives were the party that negotiated the new Gordie Howe Bridge. The bridge brought over 2,500 construction jobs to Windsor, Ontario and over 1,500 spin off jobs.
Workforce WindsorEssex has estimated there will be 151 different jobs related to construction and ensuing long-term operation of the Howe bridge that will include labourers, carpenters, ironworkers, electricians and heavy equipment operators. That also includes a support team of office jobs that will range from positions in payroll, human resources, legal, engineering, accounting and communications. Plus 1,100 spinoff jobs in the community according to the Windsor Star.
Jobs are listed on this website.
It has been the largest project to date that has offered locals residents, good paying jobs.
The Liberal party has bragged about getting more jobs and has taken credit for the EV battery plant which is being built near Windsor, Ontario. With a promise of 2,500 jobs, they did not mention hiring foreign workers, constant daily delays because of construction and Auto Manufacturers announcements this may turn into the largest tax payer funded dinosaur. Announcements by Auto Manufacturing who are back tracking due to lack of sales is of great concern
The other concern is Chinese EV cars. Chrystia Freeland said that she will wait to announce possible trade measures against China until after the consultation period is over.
Windsor, Ontario needs jobs now. Living on one pay cheque is not a luxury anyone can afford. And this area needs good paying jobs, not minimum wage.
“Ford has announced that while the retooling of Oakville Assembly Plant will commence this Spring as planned, the company is delaying the launch of EV production from 2025 to 2027. Unifor was informed of the revised timeline during a meeting with Ford executives earlier this week.Apr 4, 2024 “
The Conservative Party under Pierre Poilievre wants to get better jobs, more housing and good candidates for both Windsor West and Windsor Tecumseh Lakeshore to complete his team. Never have we seen so much overwhelming support for Pierre Poilievre from not only Conservatives, but also people who despise Justin Trudeau for what he has done to the country. It will be a tough job to try to fix what the Liberals have broken in 9 years. But Conservatives are confident that they will win with a majority.
This is our Home. We need to rebuild Canada to a more prosperous country.

Building Homes, Not Bureaucracy
Poilievre announces his bold plan to bring homes you can afford by removing gatekeepers and red tape, fining big city governments that block new homes, giving bonuses to cities that free up land, and making transit funding dependent on getting more keys-in-doors.
“Today, 90% of young Canadians believe they’ll never be able to afford to buy a home. Even the Liberal government is now warning immigrants that when they arrive in Canada, they’ll have to spend half of their income on shelter alone.”
